Blueprint for Action:

Artificial intelligence (AI) is not just shaping the future—it is transforming the present. As AI rapidly redefines how we learn, work, and participate in civic life, education must respond with clarity, urgency, and purpose. The Blueprint for Action: Comprehensive AI Literacy for All is a national call to embed AI literacy as a core element of every learner’s educational journey. 

 

Co-developed by leaders from education, research, philanthropy, and industry, the Blueprint provides bold and practical recommendations for policymakers and system leaders. Grounded in evidence and research from the Learning Sciences, including the Science of Learning and Development (SoLD) and Universal Design for Learning (UDL), it is organized around three essential domains: learning experiences, social and ethical responsibility, and economic and civic readiness. 

The Blueprint for Action outlines policy actions at the federal, state, and local levels, ranging from strategic investments in educator preparation to AI-integrated curriculum design and public infrastructure, to ensure universal access to AI literacy.  This Blueprint charts a forward-looking path, equipping every learner with the knowledge, skills, and agency to thrive in an AI-influenced world.
